Description

Calling all Young Explorers! Join us as we explore chemistry, physics, and biology with great demonstrations and amazing hands on experiments. Mix, pour, bubble, and react as students learn about chemistry and about one of the most important chemicals on Earth, water! Discover the hidden science behind music as we learn about how we make and perceive sound. We’ll further explore our senses as we look at the science behind light and dark, and everything in between. Children will learn about the changing seasons as the Earth turn, turn, turns and explore the world of some of our smaller animal friends as they wiggle with worms, and float through the air with Butterflies.

Additional Information

Butterflies
Learn about the amazing transformation that caterpillars make to turn into beautiful butterflies and all about the iconic Monarch.
Changing Seasons
Learn what makes the seasons turn, turn, turn and why Canada experiences such a wide range of weather.
Lights On
Shed some light on optics in this fun filled exploration of visible light, colours and shadows. Children will catch a shadow, blend colours and make rainbows in this fun filled exploration of white light.
Listen Closely
Children will experiment with a wave motion model and a twirling tube to help them understand that sound travels in waves.
Mad Mixtures
Erupting volcanoes, melting foam, lab equipment, and crazy chemistry are this workshop’s highlights.
Science of Music
The highs and lows of various musical instruments will be revealed and children will discover the music in them when we pump up the volume to create a musical masterpiece.
Water Works
Children will learn all about the different properties of water and will experiment with floating, sinking and absorption.
Wiggly Worms
Children will get up close and personal with nature’s wiggly composters. They will learn about the lives and habits of worms.
