Our Full-Day Camp Themes
Beasts, Bridges, & Brews
Shake, rattle and roll into summer as campers explore the wheel and axle and other simple machines that make our lives easier and more fun! Using their new found engineering skills campers will create strong structures and test the strength of one of nature’s strong objects…the egg shell. Create cool potions and mad mixtures as campers learn about chemical reactions through hands on experiments
Claws, Codes & Constellations
Children discover how to send secret messages to their friends using special codes, explore how Newton's laws are at work in their favorite sports, and become young astronauts while exploring the mysteries of the solar system.
Doctors, Detectives, & DNA
Campers will use forensic science to solve a crime. A visit to Cell City will reveal the inner workings of DNA while a trip down the Organ Trail will provide a Body Portrait. Explore the wonders of gravity, balance and the science behind the illusive sweet spot. Build the strongest helmet for our friend Eggbert in our safe egg challenge. We will also discover how to get a rainbow in a test tube
"Eureka!" Camp
Children overcome a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors, and most importantly, their minds. With a bit of ingenuity, they create catapults and forts, construct working light sticks, and assemble a set of circuits with batteries and light bulbs.
Flight Academy
From the earliest flying machines to the first rocket flights, this hands-on program for children (ages 5-12) will allow them to build many different flying devices, see how Newton's laws of motion help explain how things move and how rockets fly, and show them how amazing our Milky Way is.
Rocket Camp
This program focuses on rockets and the physics of rocket flight. After learning the model rocket safety code, campers build ten different types of rockets and participate in the launching of 6 different rockets.
BRIXOLOGY
Using LEGO® bricks, kids build a different engineering-themed project in each class. They explore different engineering fields, including mechanical, structural, aerospace, nautical, and bioengineering. They use critical thinking, and creative problem-solving to test and improve their creations.
